Stone Surface Polishing
For polishing stone surfaces, we use automatic polishing machines that give the stone an exceptional shine, highlighting the unique structure and pattern created by nature. To achieve a matte surface, the stone is ground.
For complex products requiring extremely meticulous and precise treatment, we use semi-automatic polishing equipment operated and supervised by experienced craftsmen.
Sandblasting
When treating the surface of stone products by sandblasting, the natural structure of the stone is highlighted and subtly revealed. This treatment method is used to emphasize the uniqueness of natural stone or when combining and coordinating with other stone treatment methods. We can also sandblast very large format products as needed.
Bush Hammering
Bush hammering is a stone surface treatment method that gives it a natural roughness and ensures a non-slip surface. This method is particularly suitable for stairs, squares, and other intensively used spaces where safety and durability are important. Scandinavian clients highly appreciate the natural appearance of bush-hammered stone, which is why “Žybartuva” produces many products for this market using this method. We can perform bush hammering both automatically (for products up to 3 meters in diameter) and manually, precisely processing around letters, engravings, and other hard-to-reach areas. This allows us to achieve an appropriate, aesthetic, and functional result for both massive and detailed products.
Stone Treatment with Fire
Stone treatment with fire is a thermal process that gives the surface a natural roughness and highlights the true structure of the stone. By additionally using treatment with diamond “brushes,” an impression of aged stone texture is achieved. Few in the market can perform these stone treatment methods, as special equipment and experienced craftsmen are required, and “Žybartuva” has accumulated considerable experience in implementing it for both small and massive products. Stone treated in this way becomes not only aesthetic but also practical—perfectly suitable for outdoor spaces where a strong, non-slip surface is needed.
