Monuments
A monument is not just a stone, but a symbol of memory and respect that must remain beautiful, aesthetic, and durable for decades. “Žybartuva” specializes in the production of granite monuments – from concept and design to precise manufacturing and installation preparation. We help you choose the shape, proportions, type of stone, and finish to ensure the solution harmonizes with the location, traditions, and your vision. We manufacture and meticulously oversee quality at all stages – from raw material selection to installation readiness. We provide consultations on inscriptions, portraits, symbols, and, if needed, prepare drawings and visualizations.
We invite you to visit the production and sales sites to view samples – we will help you choose the most suitable solution.
Single-Part Monuments
This is a classic and compact choice, usually intended for a single grave or a minimalist solution. We can adjust the shape, proportions, and surface treatment (polished, honed, roughened) to ensure the monument blends harmoniously with the environment. Personal character is added with engraved inscriptions, ornaments, or portrait reliefs – while maintaining easy maintenance.
Two-Part Monuments
A convenient solution when you want to clearly inscribe names and surnames on one side, and leave space for decor on the other: ornament, portrait, or symbol. We can combine different height proportions, edge treatments, and surfaces, merging both parts into a cohesive composition. For stability, we select a solid foundation solution and quality joints.
Three-Part Monuments
A common choice for family graves – on both sides, you can inscribe, for example, the names and surnames of a husband and one family, on the other – the wife’s or another family’s inscriptions. The central part becomes an accent, which can be adorned with ornaments, a small sculpture, or another decorative element. We carefully balance the composition and proportions to ensure the monument is solid and easy to maintain. We recommend the appropriate stone thickness, supports, and foundation to ensure the structure remains stable for decades.
Grave covering with granite slab
A durable and tidy solution that helps maintain cleanliness all year round and reduces maintenance time. We have produced a large number of such products, so we can offer different options for slab thickness, joints, and surfaces. The finish is selected according to cemetery requirements and your needs – from polished to roughened, reducing slipperiness.
Custom and Unique Projects
If you have your own vision or want a completely unique solution – we will create a monument according to your idea. We can combine different stone colors, surfaces, reliefs, metal elements, and, if needed, prepare drawings and visualizations. Our goal is to commemorate memory with dignity and aesthetics, ensuring strong quality and long-term value.
Monuments in Historical Cemeteries
We have experience in renovating monuments and graves in historical cemeteries, such as Vilnius Rasos, Bernardine, and Saulės cemeteries, where special requirements and coordination procedures apply. If needed, we prepare projects and drawings, taking into account historical materials and proportions. We have the ability to select and supply historically similar granite and ensure respectful, precise implementation.
Monuments for Notable People
We collaborate with architects and sculptors, having produced or helped implement several important projects at the Artists’ Hill or other cemeteries. For such objects, we help select unique granite or combinations of different granites, precisely and meticulously designing the structure together with sculptors
and carefully processing the surfaces. We pay attention to proportions, symbolism, and visibility from various perspectives. Our goal is to create a meaningful, lasting place of memory.
Animal Monuments
We offer sensitive and aesthetic solutions to honor beloved pets. We can engrave a portrait, name, dates, choose a subtle shape and size adapted to the space. We use durable granite that is resistant to the environment and easy to maintain. We provide consultations on composition to ensure the memory is warm and respectful.
Vase and Candle Holder Maintenance
Lanterns essentially require no maintenance – just wipe off dust or dirt.
Vases require a bit more attention:
- For winter, it is necessary to pour out the water from the plastic insert;
- Cover the tops of granite or bronze vases to prevent freezing.
Polymer concrete vases usually have side cuts for water drainage, so it is enough to remove the plastic insert.
By following these simple rules, the vase or lantern will last long and remain aesthetic.
Columbariums
Columbariums are a minimalist and respectful solution for eternal remembrance. Granite slabs are particularly suitable for this purpose, ensuring durability, elegance, and the possibility to engrave inscriptions or symbols. Such solutions complement various cemetery environments, maintaining a neat and aesthetic appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does it Take to Produce and Install a Monument?
Production typically takes from about 2 weeks to 2–3 months, while more complex projects with many elements may take longer (up to about 6 months). Installation duration depends on weather conditions and the season—practically, it is indicated that work can range from about 10 days to 8–10 weeks, with the best time for installation being from late spring to late autumn. During peak periods (especially before All Saints’ Day), timelines may extend.
What is the Required Deposit and What are the Payment Methods?
The order is initiated upon receiving a 30% deposit. You can pay in cash, by bank card, or by transfer. You can find the details for the transfer here.
Where Can I Order Monuments?
What is Important to Know before Ordering a Monument?
The most important factors are the dimensions and boundaries of the grave site, cemetery rules, the desired stone color/texture, inscription texts (names, surnames, dates), and the desired grave site finish. You can provide photos or examples of designs you like. It is useful to have a preliminary budget and timeline in mind—this allows us to offer the most suitable solution and production plan.
Do You Manufacture and Can You Restore Monuments in Historical Cemeteries?
What Type of Stone Do You Use and how to Choose the Color/Texture?
We recommend granite – it is resistant to frost, wear, and easy to maintain. However, it is important to choose granite suitable for the climate (differences in porosity, iron content, risk of staining) and the appropriate surface finish (e.g., less slippery roughened for horizontal surfaces). We make the decision together, showing examples. kapudengimas.lttylikalva.lt
Can an Existing Monument be Updated, or Inscriptions Changed or Added?
Yes, we restore and clean monuments, renew gilding/painting, and additionally engrave names/dates. We assess the current condition, prepare a solution, and agree on a timeline.
Can a Portrait, Ornament, or Gold Leaf Inscriptions be Added Later?
Yes, it is possible. We offer engraved portraits, symbols, reliefs, and 24-carat gilding—we advise on what will best suit the chosen stone and local conditions.
How to Maintain a Granite Monument to Keep it Looking Beautiful for a Long Time?
Use gentle, stone-specific products and a soft cloth/sponge; avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, especially on polished surfaces. We recommend periodically washing off dust, checking the condition of inscriptions, and ensuring that water does not accumulate on horizontal surfaces.
How much Does a Monument Cost and What Affects the Price?
The price is determined by the type and thickness of the stone, design and processing complexity, the extent of inscriptions/ornaments, foundation type, installation, and logistics. Standard/catalog solutions are generally cheaper and faster to produce, while custom ones are more expensive but allow for precise implementation of the idea. We provide an exact estimate after measurements and agreements. Services
Can I Order Remotely (from another City or Abroad)?
Yes. We provide consultations by phone and video call, accept drawings/photos by email, coordinate materials and inscriptions, and confirm originals upon arrival or through an authorized person.
What Warranty is Provided?
We offer up to a 25-year warranty on granite products for the material (exact conditions are defined in the contract). The warranty does not cover incorrect maintenance, third-party damage, and installation work or force majeure—all clearly discussed at the time of order.
