Vilniaus Antakalnio kapinės
In Vilnius’ Antakalnis Cemetery rests businessman, music patron, and philanthropist Saulius Karosas. The composition of the grave was created by sculptor Dalia Ona Matulaitė. The sculptural solution subtly connects contemporary form with Lithuanian cultural memory.
Two different granites were used for the monument – Olive granite from North Africa, known for its rich greenish-gray color, and Baltic Green granite from Finland, a classic choice due to its durability and expressive stone pattern. The stones are polished, giving the composition a distinctive light reflection effect. The inscriptions are sandblasted, subtly integrated, with the central focus of the composition being a symbol decorated with Baltic motifs.
“Žybartuva” supplied and prepared all granite products. Technical project specifications:
- Granites used: Olive (North Africa) and Baltic Green (Finland);
- Surface – polished, inscriptions – sandblasted.
