LOKACIJA

Menininkų kalnelis, Antakalnio kapinės, Vilnius

The burial site of Napoleon’s soldiers in Vilnius’ Antakalnis Cemetery is a memorial place dedicated to the victims of the 1812 campaign. The composition, expressing historical respect, is framed by strong and restrained granite elements that harmoniously blend with the surroundings.

The architectural finish of the burial site used Kuru Grey granite from Finland – a durable, weather-resistant, and visually solid stone. Its soft grayish-blue color provides a sense of tranquility and maintains the respectful mood of the historical site.

“Žybartuva” supplied and prepared all granite products. Technical project specifications:

  • The granite used – Kuru Grey (Finland);
