The “Stebuklas” tile is not only a well-known detail of Vilnius Old Town and an integral part of Cathedral Square, but also an example of modern sustainability. Created from various granite scraps, this tile demonstrates how granite production materials can be reborn in a new context – becoming not only aesthetic but also meaningful parts of the city’s history. The idea for the tile was conceived by architect-sculptor Gitenis Umbrasas, and the granite for the project was supplied by “Žybartuva”.
