In 2019, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Vilnius on a house on Teatro Street for Romualdas Ozolas, one of the initiators of the Lithuanian Sąjūdis, a signatory of the March 11 Act, and a philosopher. The memorial created by sculptor Daliutė Ona Matulaitė marks the place where this distinguished thinker lived for many years.

The memorial plaque is made from Bjärlöv Champagne granite from Sweden – a light brown stone with a subtle texture, valued for its durability and aesthetics. Its surface exudes a gentle warmth and blends perfectly with the city’s architecture, while maintaining a solid atmosphere of remembrance. The raised, polished lettering adds depth and expression to the plaque, while the engraved date subtly incorporates a mark of time.

“Žybartuva” supplied and prepared the granite memorial plaque. Technical project specifications:

• Granite used – Bjärlöv Champagne (Sweden);
• Surface finish – polished;
• Font – raised, polished; date – engraved directly on the stone surface.
