In Vilnius, near the buildings of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, a memorial plaque was unveiled in 2011 to commemorate the defenders of January 13th, crafted from distinctive Eagle Red granite. Finnish Eagle Red granite, renowned for its intense red color with darker crystal accents, symbolizes courage, strength, and the unforgettable fight for freedom. This polished granite piece, with inscriptions precisely processed by sandblasting, conveys a clear and aesthetically expressive tribute to all who defended Lithuania’s freedom in the days of January 1991.
